Question about Steering Wheel controls and OnStar system

Easier to replace factory radio with bluetooth function. You will use the speakers, just not the Onstar Mic. BTW the Onstar mic is located next to your mirror console w/ a/c controls. It is NOT the round disc above the drivers seat. That is the ATC ambient temp sensor. My last Tahoe had it cut off because owner no longer used Onstar and it buzzed (bad or dirty sensor). Then they wondered why the air no longer worked correctly. I even saw it mentioned on a recent episode of "Unique Customs" where they called it a "microphone for voice control".
