had a quick question for you all that maybe you can answer.....

My wife has been saying that the ESCALADE when driving feels as if the car is tilted to the driver side....

well long story short I disagreed as we males do that she doesn't know what she is talking about so today I went outside to take some measurements......

Car is not started or turned on right now so no compressor running

Sure enough PF 36 1/4 PR 36 1/4 DR 36 1/4 DF 35 1/4.....

Funny thing is I picked up an OEM Replacement Air Strut on the Driver Front around March of this year since ours went out...

Company I purchased from..

http://www.ebay.com/itm/07-08-09-10...ories&fits=Model:Escalade&hash=item20d91d1140

The Driver side is the only side that doesn't sit right....when I received the new strut it did have the factory hook-up on top for the AIR controller to be attached to......any idea why my DF would sit lower? What is the factory ride height? I have searched high and low all morning on the actual height and couldn't locate it.

this is normal pass side sits higher in front and rear. This is why many guys send me their shocks and I do my strut mod so sits even. Also ive seen many aftermarket snap rings not milled in the same area one sits lower than other thats another reason why it could be off.

Whenever i do local installs I always check to make sure snap ring measures same on both shocks and if not I tell the customer and usually put the one that sits lower on pass side since these trucks sit higher on that side from factory.

okay thanks bud. The escalade just feels like its all over the place.......like today the wife complained of the car being all over the place in the rain.

I just replaced the front sway bar end links this past weekend as I had no more rubber bushings left on the front.....Curious how hard is it to bend the OEM Sway bar? not sure if mine is bent or not but I had to use a ratcheting strap to pull the sway bar down enough to put the links into place. I am tempted to just replace the sway bars and put on poly bushings front and rear to eliminate this issue.

Curious Norcal what exactly do I modify to fix that 1 inch difference?

back to the top....Recently I have noticed very extreme body roll on the car when the wife is pulling into the driveway and I also have a very random ABS kick on when pulling into my driveway under minor breaking and slowing down. Its intermittent not always doing it but it feels like grinding or something slipping. Wife noticed it twice yesterday. What can that be? escalade has 110k on it now? I replaced the Sway bar end links up front since one was broken with a pair from Autozone...really considering swapping to a legit aftermarket brand along with sways.

any ideas or recommendation would be greatly appreciated.

I still have the issue that appears the escalade leans more towards driver side from looking straight on when parked in our driveway and driving.

the lean is normal this is why i machine the grooves on teh autoride shocks and regular shocks lower on pass side when I lower them.

Do the shocks have oil residue on them?
