question how do you change a thermostat????

i have a 07 gmc yukon and i need to change the thermostat, i used a friends code reader to pick up what was wrong and the thermostat came up. need some help thanks

I just opened up the hood on my tahoe just to double check but...

Its usually goes on the top radiator hose neck going into the intake manifold, but seeing as we have vortec engines that have no water runners in the manifold, it looks like it goes on the BOTTOM hose just below the tentioner pully.
that is if you have a 5.3L
