I saw someone talking about this recently, and I've always wondered this myself. On the 2006 Escalade:

1. The front passenger seat does not recline back very far at all. It's still mostly upright when it stops, and it's very uncomfortable if you're trying to lay it back on a long trip. I know the GMT400s let you lay the seat all the way back. Is there any kind of a modification I can do so the seat will go all the way back 'til it touches the rear seat?

2. The seatbelt buckle receptacle does not stick up very high. Is there any way to extend that by fabricating a bracket or something? I've never pulled the seats so I don't know what is involved.

Thx

There is a seat mod around. Look in the tech section you will find it

Don't remember exactly since I did it a few years ago but you have to grind off the nut that stops it from fully reclining. I think you have to pull the seats out and look under for where the long rod is, see where it hits the nut and just grind it off.
