quick fuel filter question

im replacing mine and the lines just keep pumping gas. Shopuld I have unhooked the battery or something.

did u pull the fuse to depressureize the system. if u didnt pull the fuse, is your key in the on position.

Ended up pulling the cap from the tank and finally replaced. Also how the hell do you change the rear pass plug
