4wheelin
TYF Newbie
Hi. I'm new to this forum. I have a 4 dr 1999 Yukon with a 3 inch lift and 33's for tires. Currently getting it mechanically sound. Its had a rough life, and 170k on the odometer. I bought it from a lady who bought it from who knows where, but most everything is either broken, missing, or completely worn out. The driveline seems to be the only thing taken care of. I do most of my own stuff where I can on my vehicles, with the only exception being my C6 Vette. I'm sure I'll be posting questions on here as it's been a few decades since I last owned a 4wd.
So far I've replaced most of the AC system so it works, changed the trans fluid and filter, new door lock actuators, all 4 of them, new front bumper, new grill, new headlights and turn markers, window switches, new mirrors and mirror switch, put new speakers in since all were missing, and put a new high brake light on it. I've got some new sway bar links for both the front and the rear coming. I'll be replacing worn ball joints next, and seeing how to get rid of what appears to be a lot of slop in the steering. But, I confess, I do enjoy projects.
