Hey all, my brakes are getting pretty soft up front, I want to do the big brake kit but still have factory denali wheels on my 2003.

It will be sometime before I can do the bigger break kit, I want to the the one from the NNBS. That being said would it be a wash to just buy new rotors/pads until I can do the full job? I seen some power stop breaks/pads on amazon.

Since pads / rotors are relatively cheap, I would just go that route, since you still need to do wheels / then big brake kit. That's a lot of dough all at once.

Thanks man, I'm going to have to check it out again at home because the work computer blocks all the pics.

I did this upgrade and love it. I went with R-1 concepts drilled and slotted rotors and ceramic pads and got stainless steel hoses. I also bought new brackets and calipers and i think i only spent around $500 total and a few hours in the garage installing them.

It makes a pretty noticeable difference in stopping power.

Calipers and rotors from a 05+ Silverado/Sierra with drum rear brakes are the same as the GMT900 SUVs. So keep that in mind, you may be able to find them at a u-pull it yard. Got my setup for $50.

I went the same route but just got new stuff from the parts store. With the core charges it winds up not being too expensive. Just don't tell them you're bringing back different stuff. (one employee told me they don't care as long as they get parts to send off to be rebuilt it doesn't matter as long as it's close) I got the brake kit from amazon for the rotors and pads, and then got the calipers and brackets from O'riley's. Something to put on the "to do list" is flushing your power steering fluid if you have hydroboost. It really helps with the braking. If you've got 17's or bigger they will clear just fine.
