Quick shifter

does anyone have a quick shifter or a ratchet shifter on their truck, it seems like something pretty cool to have but all the descriptions say "works for most 3 or 4 speed transmissions". Just wondering if it works for the 4l60e

Here is a good write up on how to put one in the console. I love the idea but i think the shifter would be too close to the driver to comfortably operate it but i have long arms.

So I guess the only thing it can do for ours is just put the steering column shifter in our console? That's what I can understand from that write up. I saw videos where they used it to actually shift through all 4 gears like a manual.
