I gotcha. Now the paint that is on the surface of the rotor. How does that affect braking performance?

I would imagine a few good stops and the paint will wear off in no time

Yes 5 50-10 stops and your ready to roll

I did this on my xl but did it in gunmetal. I even left the rotors on the truck lol. Looked great for well over a year.
