Aloha folks! Much like my old 1999 Tahoe LT my 2012 Yukon SLE has a cracked radiator on the plastic tank, right below the top inlet/port. I had my 1999 Tahoe for 14 years and replaced the radiator in 2009 with a standard aluminum core/plastic tank. I wanted all aluminum, but it would have taken over a month to get here and then the time of installation. Bottom line was I couldn’t be without wheels so I went plastic.

Then in 2013 it went again. But this time I wasn’t sure about keeping it as it was originally from Canada and while on the lift we noticed major corrosion on the main frame/beams. I drove it until 2014 when I sold it and upgraded to the Yukon SLE.

Now the Yuke has a crack, which I have temporarily plugged with marine epoxy, but have come to the realization that the radiator will need to be replaced in the near future. Let’s face it…that epoxy fix ain’t gonna last forever!

So, should I go with the OEM Standard replacement radiator? Or go for the all aluminum one? Any thoughts or ideas are greatly appreciated. Aloha!
