Hi there.
I have Escalade 2007 6,2ltr. and the cooling fans sometime dos not come on so the engine and trans temperature start rising. The high and low fan relay are both ok so I think maybe the sensor is bad, or bad connection. Where are the sensor located? Someone else having this problem?
Thanks Gunnar.

You will have to do troubleshooting to see if the fans are even being commanded to
the ON position. They should come on LOW speed about 212* and high speed
about 222* ish... They will also come on low with the AC on.
You could have bad fan motors, a pcm not commanding correctly, or even
bad connectors at the fans.. You also could have a bad temp sending unit
The "gauge" on the dash is very vague.. It will read in the middle 210* anywhere
from 180* to 215*. You'll want to hook up a data reader and observe the
fans behavior at specific temperatures

There are three relays for the fans.

Thanks for this information. I have Bully Dog programmer hooked up so I can always see the trans and engine temp. Sometimes the temp rise up to 98-100 celsius on engine and 70 celsius on trans but the fans are not on. I open the 3 relay and by pushing the platinum to connect, the fans starts working both low, then 1low 1high and finely both high. So this must be either bat sending unit or bat connection somewhere. In fact after I took the 3 relays out of the fuse box and put them back in, the fans have been working ok so far. So maybe the problem was bat connection around the relays.

Yes, sometimes something as simple as unplugging the item and plugging back in fixes a connection problem.

both fans should be at the same speed, a tech2 would be useful for diagnosis
