I've recently developed a crack in the driver side tank of my radiator... right between the inlet neck and the engine oil cooler bung. This is the second time I've had a radiator leak in this location. Looking to replace with an all aluminum radiator to avoid this in the future. Extra cooling efficiency is a bonus.
Trying to sort through all the branding/marketing hype to get what I need without breaking the bank in the process. I know the all aluminum varieties are more expensive than the plastic tank versions and I'm ok with paying more for better quality.
I've seen prices range from $180 (Ebay knockoffs) to $345 (RadiatorExpress.com) to $1200-$1400 for a radiator/electric fan/harness/shroud combination (Be Cool, Eastwood, Griffin, Mishimoto, etc). Does anyone have any first hand experience with any of the $345-$1400 ones that can help me narrow down my decision? My truck is a spirited daily driver and sees regular light towing.
Thanks in advance
