I need a diagram that shows the colors, position, and purpose of all the wires in the two connectors, black 14-pin and purple 16-pin. I especially need the connector for the XM unit. What I'm looking for specifically are the two wires for the left and right audio from the XM module behind the glove box. Anyone know?

not exactly the way you want to do it, but this link covers both of your issues from here, and your other thread... From these two questions, I am guessing you are installing an amp??

this also covers using the radio wire...

I personally used the "illumination" wire in the back of my deck. The idea is that I do not want my sub on all the time. This way, whenever I do want the sub, I can turn my foglights on, and the sub comes on, because the illumination of the dash is "on". At night, (when I do not have work people in my truck), the sub is always on with the vehicle, unless I flip the switch I mounted in my center console...

Thanks for the reply bauer! The power piece is actually for my pnp Sirius unit. I only want power to it with the ignition on. I went the add-a-circuit fuse adapter route since I wasn't confident on which ignition wire I should tap into. Do you know of a fuse that's switched on the fuse panel on the end of the dash (driver's side)?

As for the radio connectors, for the life of me, I can't find any info that matches the colors I have in my '08. There's got to be two wires coming from the XM unit, left and right audio. Based on this thread here I *believe* the colors are "Brown/White is the left audio, the Green/White is the right audio", and I do have those two wires, but they're in radically different locations in the connector, so made me a little uneasy. Don't want to start hacking away and HOPE they're the right wires. Can anyone confirm that for me? MUCH appreciated!

How about a diagram/pinout/color codes for the wires in the XM module behind the glove box? Anyone?? Can't find that anywhere and I've been looking for hours. It's a 16-pin connector. Here are the colors I have.
Green
gray
green/white
brown/white
tan/white
red/white
black

I'm looking for the left audio, right audio, and common

sorry, but what year truck are you talking about?? That link is for the NBS models... just want to make sure anyone looking at this isnt getting the wrong idea, and then confuses your situation more...

If it is an NBS model, ask the mods to throw this thread over into the 00-06 Electronics section... I am sure someone over there could answer your question...

Well, I'm getting closer, I have ID'd the wires I need out of the XM unit. They are as follows: Left - is the tan/white in 1, left + is brown white in 2, right - is dark green white in 3, right + is grey in 4. These are out from the XM unit under the right side of the dash.

I'm trying to use those 4 wires to "hijack" the XM audio signal and use it as a 2nd Aux/line-in. Anyone know how I would combine them and wire-in a 1/8" female connector? I tried left and right positives for left and right on the audio jack, then I tried combining the 2 negatives and attaching them to the "common" on the jack. It works, audio comes out of both left and right, but the sound isn't *quite* right. It sounds WAY better via the aux in the front. I think I'm close, just not quite right. Anyone have suggestions??
