Have an 04 Tahoe Z71 with Bose. Have an aftermarket radio with the special box to be able to use the rear entertainment center and the steering wheel controls. When i bought the truck it had a Pioneer radio and its didn't have the special box. Periodically the radio would turn on but no sound would come out of the speakers. So i replaced it with a Kenwood radio and wired it with the box. Still have the same problem with periodic sound loss. As of late it has gotten so much worse. When the sound doesn't come out of the main speakers, I plug headphones up to the rear audio jacks and sound does come out. Anybody have any ideas?

It could be the amp then, that's the common denominator between the setups.

Thats what I was thinking. Wonder if I should just replace the amp or have the whole system redone? Or just replace the amp and have a sub put in the rear?
