radio replacement

I have a 2005 tahoe with bose and onstar. I have a friend that has the box to do the replacement (pac#cr2-gm24) but it says on the pac website that it will not retain onstar...will it make everything work accept the onstar (i dont use). Someone please help me!

Do you use onstar? if so - get the OS2-BOSE. If not, you can use that one.

I have never used the onstar...dont know why i would...i think i can get it for like $40 so i think that may be what i do
