Radio static in A.M. :( 2002 Yukon

Hey!

Every morning when I start up my 02 Yukon the radio station I left on the night before is nothing but static. As soon as I hit the pre-programmed station number it clears up right away. So far I have not noticed it once she's warmed up. Any idea why it only occurs when she is cold and upon start up? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

are you saying this only happens on AM, not FM? i would try and leave it on a different station that you have programmed as well, and see if it happens then also. in other words, is it only that particular AM station?probably nothing you're going to "fix"!

Oops wow I was having a moment there, I meant in the morning not AM station. I did set it to a different station and the static was gone for the most part. Still messing with it. Thank you for advice

Added some periods to the title which will hopefully clear up future reads. I thought it was AM stations also

Haha, I do listen to AM radio only when I can't watch the games.
