Just installed an aftermarket radio using a wire harness and now the lights for my hvac controls and my headlight switch dont work. Any ideas or wiring diagrams would be helpful.
Thanks

If your HVAC controls have an exposed circuit board behind it, you might have a problem. Alot of times the antenna will touch that circuit board and short it out causing all kinds of problems. Can't remember if the 97 has those old controls, but if it does, that'll be the root of the problem.

Fuses are good, I'll check for the open circuit board.

Sure enough, open circuit board. Every light bulb was blown. Replaced and covered the top of the bard with electrical tape.
Thanks guys

Next time you take out your radio for whatever reason, make sure and wrap the antenna with tape. That's the best way to prevent this. Glad you got it figured out.

I should probably get a dash kit too. Instead of just letting my radio bounce around in the dash. lol
Thanks again for your help, I would have never thought that could happen. I was about to rip the dash apart.
