All,

Have a 2007 stock Yukon Denali. Behind the rearview mirrors, there is a small circle (about 2 inch diamter) sensor mounted to the windshield. I am assuming this is the rainsense sensor. The problem is I believe I am missing the cover to this sensor, as there are exposed wires and components ( I bought the denali in this condition used). Anyone know what this part is? I tried ordering it but no one sells this specific part, nor does it seem to have an OEM item number. Help!

If it makes you feel any better, my new-2-me 07 hoe is the same way. Looks like it could use a nice 'cup' to cover it up. I'm asking a friend who has the same Tahoe as we do to see if his has a cover.

If its not supposed to have one, it's a pretty crappy fit & finish move on GM's part.

Mine does not have a cover, and was purchased new. It's pretty dumb but it's not so bad since you can't see it when you're driving...or at least I can't.

So no, there were no covers made for that area unfortunately.

Part# 15780444 is on the inside of my cover

Yep, there's supposed to be a cover there. SteveK has the right part number. my buddy just got the part number for me too. GMPartsdirect.com has it listed for about $3.50 or $6 through the dealership.

Probably cheaper and easier in the long run to call your local Chevy dealership and have them order the part for ya.
