No damage should have been done. Almost everyone does it that way it just dosent reach the front of the motor. I'll find the link to the proper explanation.

Unless you have really high miles I would not sea foam at all yet. Run good gas use a little marvel mystery oil here and there and you should be fine.

What do you consider high miles?
Why would you not sea foam with high miles?
Thanks

OK I'm busted. I should have said I understand the plugs provide a spark to get things going in the cylinder head but what happens to plugs that makes them need to be replaced?

It's not just to get the engine started, it is a constant spark and explosion inside the cylinder that makes the engine turn over, thousands of times a minute. they need to be replaced just from wear and tear. Whether the engine is running too rich or too lean can lessen the lifespan of plugs as well.

As for the #8 plug. Yes its harder than the other 7, but if you have a couple of short extensions to angle your ratchet out some, it wont take THAT much time to get it out. Just watch your hands on the shield around the A/C Drier, its a bit sharp. Make sure you don't burn yourself on some hot manifolds also.

Gotcha but what I'm curious about is does the spark get weaker or delayed or whatever when it gets some age on it possibly screwing up timing of combustion or any other sort of consequence... or is it a matter of if they work they work, if they don't they dont?

Back in the days of points and then adjustable timing things were different. Now that is all computer controlled.
