flex plate is a holdover from upgrading lol
i was unsure about the spacing, bolt pattern, offset, etc didnt feel like buying another one that i wouldnt know if it worked when the one i had was "working" but i think ive figured all that out

thats the worry with 149s even the rebuilts it hard to know to what extent they rebuilt it. just cleaned everything up and replaced bearings chain and pump? like thats a 200$ rebuild that theyre charging 1100 bux for. if they started with a good core maybe thats all they needed. for 75% of people that may be plenty and last a long time. but i dont know sucks i wish there was a better case to use or newer or after market but there doesnt seem to be outside of like trophy truck $25k billet transfercases so i dont know....2wd would make life easier

no trans either...called a time or two yesterday, no pick up. ill try again next week

i have come to the conclusion that i would rather revert it back to its previous set up- trick manifold, VS turbo, shorty pipe right into the throttle body and a couple hundred less hp. it will still make 800-900hp the engine and trans ate it up everything that turbo put out like nothing. it will allow me to put the larger radiator/fans back in, AC worked a lot better with that set up, along with the additional oil and trans coolers. i'll keep the chiller and everything on it. i wont have to spend more money on finishing upgrade for the fuel system as the 1200cc/magnafuel were perfect at that power level on either fuel.
like ive alluded to lately - im just over it, the little moments of joy it works is overshadowed by all the time it spends on jackstands.
fixing it and breaking it monthly just isnt that fun anymore and is getting expensive.

work responsibilities have also changed and i need a truck to run some levee roads, canal banks, and sometimes just crude swampy trails to get to some projects not every day prob 1-3x a week. was going to trade cmax in on a mid/full size 4x4 truck but prices are pretty retarded right now. i will be better off and keeping cmax for the 75% of the time i dont need 4wd.

Sounds like a wiener to me. I would've said **** it a long time ago and bought a roller c6. Glad to see you're getting it back together and it should be a reliable piece at that power level with everything you've done. Glad to see you messing with it again

well i went ahead and ordered 6" lift kit from superlift for a 2015+ suv. their instructions are the same for 2007-2018 trucks except for a few minor things... first thing i noticed was the passenger side diff bracket gets cut off because the newer trucks have electric steering and needs clearance. the drop bracket only grabs the front tab so i may have to fab up a drop bracket for that side or modify the one they send... other than that it all looks the same.
if not, someone with a 2015 may get a hell of a deal on a 6" lift kit :oops:

why superlift? the internet seems think its better/stronger than the rough country kit... eh to me its a 10 year old truck and i wasnt interested in putting on a 4-5-6k$ lift kit from bds or cognito or fts or mcgaughys. basic kit cause i will prob already have to make the spohn bars, links,sways work cause i have all aftermarket. front coilovers i'll order after, rear shocks ill order something. there wasnt much savings ordering with a kit.

and i have a 9.25ifs front diff...it fits in the stock location but not sure how its going to slide in with diff drop so i may be hackin it up anyway for that.... amazingly i couldnt find a 6" lift for a 2012 with 2015+arms and 2500 front diff

Hang on hang on! So your going back to the single turbo making 900 and lifting it?
it was always a single turbo, but im going back to the one mounted on the trick manifold:

no more loud waste gates, can throw bigger radiator back in+fans, ac can run all day and not warm up coolant temps,
