Dedicated thread for this disabler. Has anyone had any negative issues with it? Any thoughts if it actually will help solve the problem for lifter failures? I know arguments exist both ways.

Finally - anyone purchase on Amazon vs Range website? It’s sold about $20 cheaper by AWEGOO…? Also can use Amazon gift cards.

Thoughts?

That is covering all model years, not just this version. I’m asking about just this version, so it’s a different topic.

Perhaps we should only have one thread for the brand GM since they all are related to GM?

No, its only covering 21+ models. Mostly because before the 21 model year DFM didn't exist yet (it was AFM before the 21 model year, which is not the same systems, AFM was bad but DFM is worse IMHO).

The Range device works well, however, it may not disable the lifters on Decel With Fuel Cut Off (DFCO). That being said, it will probably reduce the lifter activity by 90%. You could also run in L9 up to 55 MPH to help with the DFCO activation.

Dump the 0W20 oil for a good quality 5W30 or 0W40 and change it by the time the OLM hits 50%.

What is more problematic are the lifter roller bearings long term even with short OCI.
