Hey I was wondering if anybody else had this issue here.. ok I have a 07 tahoe and this has been happening for over a year now and just really hadn't had time to look at it. When I get to 45mph+ and let off of the gas pedal I hear a rattling noise that sounds like it's behind the dash hard to tell when I'm going that speed. But if I mash the gas the rattle goes away and comes back when I let off the gas.. any ideas what this could be?...thanks alot

Oh ok.. yeah this sounds like it's under the drive seat . But then again it's hard to tell when I'm going 50+ mph..

I had the same thing. It was the hood release housing just behind the dash. Don't know if it's the same problem you have. Good luck.

Thanks man. I finally found it about 2 weeks ago it was a loose cap on the transmission case

Can you provide more info on this for people who might have this issue in the future? Pictures? What loose cap would this be?

Any updates on this? I'm curious. Anything rattly makes me pissed beyond belief, so when someone else finds and solves a similar problem, it gives me great satisfaction.

For the past few weeks, I've had a low-frequency 'buzz' sound develop at low rpm----roughly around 1.300 rpm. Sounds like it's coming from within the center dash area or just on the opposite side of the firewall. Have thumped on everything inside the cabinet to no avail, and have looked under the hood several times to no avail...
