That will be a fun project. I have an 07 Sierra with the VortecMax package and it runs great in stock trim.. it will stay stock as it is used solely as a tow vehicle. 130,000 miles.

However, my 09 Tahoe LTZ with the L9H 6.2L is my "Old Man Hot Rod". With the L9H you do not have the AFM, but do have the VVT. It has been tuned by Nelson Performance in San Antonio and the mods are an AirRaid MIT & dry filter and Flowmaster BB 50 Series 3.5" muffler to match the factory 3.5" exhaust.. and Hotchkis Sway Bars with the AutoRide..

Runs great, cruises at any speed I can get away with and no drone.. has great acceleration as many ram and toyo trucks have found out.. they freak out when they get whomped by a Soccer Mom Tahoe :D

Have fun with the SS project.. Super Chevy did an article on the LQ9 a while back and made a ton of HP..

Ive been very lucky. I have had both a Silverado SS and a Trailblazer SS. I have owned over 100 Autos. The best was no doubt for me my 2007 AWD TBSS.
