I am the second owner, but it was a GM employee lease car in Michigan first.

They use that line on all rental units. Some random Roy probably leased it for 3 years and couldn't have cared less how he treated it. Or it could have been a daily rental through any rental agency. Should be a law in all 50 states that GM has to tell you who drove it, for how long, and under what circumstances they drove it. People rent stuff now just to drive them like stupid and post a video of it on YouTube.

Sorry to hear about the problems. I learned my lesson with 'first year' vehicles with my Nissan. 26 items replaced under recall or warranty!
Luckily my '09 Burb hasn't had an issue, but neither did my '02.

Sounds like some of your problems could be due to a cheap collision repair job. Obviously they cut some corners if you found a few things put back together wrong. They probably used cheap aftermarket headlights. And who knows how many of the mechanical issues you've had that are related to that.

I had my 07 tahoe for 4 years and not once did I have any issues with it besides my wife hitting a low wall that I had to add a bumper cover for(which was a great excuse to add a cool bumper/grill on). That Tahoe was perfect! Damn I miss that thing!!

If it were a rental car then you'd likely see bar code stickers in the window. I worked in the rental car industry for 7 years and can tell you that if it were a rental car GM would not be telling that line.

Well, I had a long talk with my Yukon last night. I told her I realize her first owner did not take care of her and treat her well. I told her I promise to take good care of her but that she has got to stop breaking on me. I will give her a few weeks to see if she responds and we can start our bonding process. If not then I told her I'll trade her ass off on a Ford! Lol. See how it goes now. I know that sounds corny, but I talk to all my vehicles and motorcycles. Never really had any problems til this '07 Yukon xl...

See if karma helps out here. :)

Tons of cars here where I live have the bar codes in the windows, usally the driver side rear passenger window. The service departments around here use them to identify a car quickly when a customer pulls up to service bay doors. They also use this old Blue Team, Red Team crapola. Not sure what the color codes accomplish.
