You can change...

  • Daytime Running Lights
  • Turn signal/parking (will need a bit of modding)
  • Reverse lights
  • Fog lights
  • Tail lights
  • Head lights
  • Puddle lights
  • License plate lights
  • Interior dome lights

And I think that's it. The dash lights are too much work to change colors, but you could change the gauges to a different color with a new face.

I'm also gonna work on changing my fogs into turn signals (putting amber LED's in them), and then change my turn signals inside the headlamp housings to white bulbs and wire them to run with the DRL's.

It would end up like this, I photoshopped the results on some random Tahoe.

Thank you to everyone! This is a sweet community... and everyone has been super helpful....

I think I have decided on the following:

DDM Tuning:

1 - Digital Slim Ballast - 35W - 6000k (H11/Low Beams)
1 - Digital Slim Ballast - 35W - 6000k (H16/5202 Fogs)
1 - Wiring Harness / Relay Kit

If anyone objects ... speak now or forever hold your peace!!!!

I also went with the DDM 55w 5000k lights. They are local to me so I just went into their store to get them. The others are correct, get the harness. I needed it because of my DRL's

So far their server is good. My harness relay burnt up. They replaced it with no problem.

what about if you disable the drl function. Would you still need the extra harness? This is what I'm planning on doing.

You shouldn't have to worry about it on a Tahoe. Unless you run the 55 watt bulbs.

My DRL's are the headlights, so I have to use it.

Yeah so are mine with my Yukon. The place that going to get some hids for me told me to take the fuse out to disconnect the drls. That was until I found ddm.

I didn't want to disable the DRL's. The harness makes sure you get full power to the HID's.

I also run the Hi/Lo to keep my High-Beams.

I guess the only downfall is they are always on. But lifetime warranty. So why not. :)

yeah thats what worried me since they are always on. I guess you could turn the light switch left and that would turn the drls off

The Tahoes have a separate bulb for the high beams, low beams, Daytime Running Lights and Turn Signals. The Yukons have one integrated bulb instead. Totally different housing and setup than the Tahoe.

**Speaking of DRL's... can anyone recommend a specific LED to replace my DRL on my '07 Tahoe to match the look of my DDM 6000K HIDs?

Zack?
