Whats the difference in the lockers?
Mechanical one requires more than one revolution of the tire to engage. Electronic one requires less than one revolution to engage.

A single revolution doesn’t sound like much, but it’s over eight feet of travel. Sometimes a G80 may require two or three revolutions before locking. Now we’re at 25 feet!

Electronic one requires a bit more service than mechanical. Mechanical is as old as the hills. My 1999 Tahoe had a G80! Electronic is modern tech. Used in performance cars.

I live in snow country, and my wife is the primary driver, so my choice would be the eLocker for its rapid and seamless operation. I’d cough up one large extra for it.

Personally, I slightly prefer the Tahoe look to the Yukon. But both at the LT and SLT trims appeal to me. I’m not a fan of the extra bling of the High Country or Denali. But I also want Super Cruise, so have no choice.

I also DO NOT want a sunroof. So that is another consideration.

Denali gets the following over the Tahoe or SLt:
Laminated glass on front door glass in addition to windshield.
Real wood interior vs plastic that looks like wood.
Front seats are full leather on the seating surface vs just the middle and Plastic Leather on the Tahoe.
2nd row gets full leather on the seats vs plastic leather.
Fog lights are included, not avail on the Tahoe
eLSD diff vs Eaton Locker on the tahoe
Includes 3 years of OnStar and Data vs not on the Tahoe
Plus the distinct dash layout vs the regular.
Different grill.
3 available interior colors vs 2 in the Tahoe

I have always been partial to the GMC, just a little more upscale IMO. I would also mention that the resale on the GMC's are better than the Chevy. But the bottom line is you need to decide on which vehicle you think looks better inside an out. For me the dash design makes all the difference over the chevy. I can't understand why they put that tablet sticking out of the dash, just don't like that look.

I didn't know these were differences as well.

So...

Laminated glass.
Full leather front seats.
Real wood.
Different Infotainment.
LED tail lights.
LED fog lights.
eLSD.
4 additional speakers.

Seems like a lot of difference for $2k

I'd never waste my money on any of the new GM products, especially the Tahoe High Country. GM commands a high price on these vehicles, and they cheap out on everything they possibly can. I was watching the winding road review on these vehicles, and they are not remotely worth the big money the dealers ask for them. I'll stick with my 09 Tahoe until I can't buy replacement parts anymore.

I'm really in a tough spot.

I have 4 kids ages 8, 8, 8, and 10.

There's plenty of 3 row vehicles, but not many that have you can take a 16 hour road trip in with plenty of space and storage.

I'm really over the 3 row FULL size vehicles that have ZERO trunk space. 2 suit cases and your leaning on the hatch to get it to close.

And I have watched many other reviews that like it. I doubt the 09 Tahoe has significantly better quality materials.
