I would've preferred the 5.3 when buying my '23 Suburban, but the 6.2 is the only gasser offered in the High Country trim. Almost 3k miles and lifetime average is 17mpg but premium gas2021 5.3 the last 16k miles the dash computer says 18.5. That's around town w some freeway and with the start/stop turned off. I'm happy.
Funny, my last 2015 Tahoe with the 6.2 engine used a little more than about 13.5MPG on the combined cycle, but it used about 20MPG on the highway and about 12MPG in the city. A 2022 Yukon also with a 6.2 engine consumes about 13MPG in the city, and 16MPG on the highway. But there is also a record)))) 10MPG for 650 km at an average speed of 146 km / hThat premium fuel only would be a deal killer for me. Have to really need that extra HP for towing to make that worthwhile unless money is just not important. Does seem like the 2021s and newer use more gas than the previous models.
Spending wisely is important but so is using quality fuel. I consider them linked. Generally speaking, we've not run anything less than 93 in our gasoline engines since the 1980s.That premium fuel only would be a deal killer for me. Yes, i like it... Its cool, and it could be classicPardon the off topic, but do you like the new revised instrument cluster on the 2022?
