I wish i could drive 70, but cant do it. Like the speed as of now. 20 mpg is awesome for a vehicle this size. Have to say the 6.2 is a lot of fun to drive. Before I bought this vehicle, I drove my in-laws yukon with 5.3. Never was much impressed with the motor. Fine for basic driving, but nothing to say wow, this is fun. Had several ram trucks for last 10 years or so. Anything mpg in the upper teens is good for me, all I have seen for that long. The tahoe is a much bigger vehicle, so pleased with the mpg and the vehicle overall. Glad I made the jump to the tahoe.

I was shocked to see I'm getting like 12 MPG around town... but short drives... maybe 17 on a combined one, but definitely not 15/20

My last 1700 mile road with maybe 10-15% city time averaged 19.5 and I held 80-84mph while on the interstate. Around town if I enjoy my self its 10-12mpg, but if I drive like grandma 14-15mpg is doable. I also follow the owners manual recommendation for high speed driving to run 39psi tire pressure, actually tread contact is just about perfect, so the door saying 36 is absurd.

Im in a 21 XL Denali 6.2l at time of the trip it had 1000 miles with 2 adults a 2 year old and luggage, currently have 3000 miles

Is that the XL or regular version? What's her driving profile? Mostly city?

Real world mileage on our 2019 with the 5.3. Probably 60 to 65% highway and the rest mostly urban city driving, not red light to red light on every city block. Since new, now at 17K miles with the DFM mostly in operation. 22 mpg total average, 18 mpg in city driving. Get about 24 mpg highway at legal speeds with vacation loading and just the two of us. Run BP Silver gas constantly. Fluke 50 mile average best readout hit 30 mpg last year.

I took a 350 mile round trip in southern MN and averaged 20.9 MPG at 90:10 hwy:city miles, at 70-75 MPH hwy. I lowered my speed by approx 10 MPH on the hwy and was really pleased to net this! My vehicle is a 2022 Denali standard wheel base with the only mods I’m running Michelin Defender tires.
