Can someone confirm if the upper rear shock bolt is attached (weld, splined, etc) to the frame or if it is going to spin when I try to remove the nut? I can barely get my bare hand up there and feel the back of the bolt, no idea how I will get a wrench up there to hold it.

it spins. what i do is use impace on tire side and socket on inside. I then flip the bolt around because many times the bolt end rubs the tire and if you flip it around the head is on the outside and more clearance :)

There is a plug right above the shock bolt in the top that is famous for comming loose if not properly clipped in. The socket will definitly rub it when removing the bolt. If loose you will get the check abs traction warning on the dic. Other than that simple install.

HA!!

So I just want to publically thank 08Grey. So I replaced the rear shocks on Sunday. Everything came apart and went together pretty easily, except for the plastic/rubber airline attached to the passenger side shock that was apparently RUSTED to the inside of the fitting, lol.

I hooked up everything and cycled the key to test the system and my dash starts going crazy blinking "ABS Failure" and "Check suspension system" and I'm thinking WTF did I do?! Then I remember 08Grey's post... I'm still not sure what connector he was talking about because I didn't see any while I was removing and reinstalling the shocks. So I check the fittings on the drivers side, fine, check the fittings on the passenger side, fine...then I see some wires above the frame rails. I stick my hand up there and feel a connector loose! Yup he was right! lol

Thank you
