have a 98 Tahoe 2wd with bad rear axle got a 99 suburban 3.73 axle to put on it. will this work

It will be a bolt in if it's an obs suburban...although I'd look for a 2500 light duty rear from an obstacle and then get some front rotors from that as well and get some 6 lug take off wheels aND tires

I am kind of curious about this too. I have a gear whine that I believe is in the rear. I've replaced my front diff with a unit with less milage and have a newly rebuilt transfer case too. Rather than attempting a rebuild, I've found a rear axle that has been rebuilt with the same gearing and is already set up with drums from a 2007 Silverado. I've been told it will fit.
