From what I have seen on the web about lifts. 5 inch blocks are a little much. If you want to do that much lift you should probably get a real lift. Id say add a leafs are a better option for that height.

5 inch blocks are a bad idea... You want cheap, but in the long run i think it will cost more to do a 5 inch block. Save your money and get the Rough country 6 inch lift. With the lift blocks your going to have to add gap guards. find something to relocate the bumbers, which i havent found anything to do it properly its more of a DIY project moving the bumper up. You would be more happy with a suspension lift.

The rough country kit comes with a 4" block(or 5" I can't remember) and you don't need gap guards that is for body lifts.

OP, you won't be able to lift the front 5" to level the truck without buying a suspension lift.

Better to go with a 1.5 or 2" block.

I think add a leafs arent much more than a block. They take longer to install but everyone I know that has them says the ride is much better than blocks. Be careful installing them. had a buddy doing it and when he was compressing the bolt snapped and sent a leaf spring into his jaw.

blocks will ride like factory, add a leaf is stiffer usually.

Both are about equally as hard to install.

if you put blocks out back the front will still need to be lifted. which will require a lift kit. for either you will need new shocks too.

I agree, 2" block TOPS. Even trying to crank to level with a 2" block can be a little much sometimes. a 5" block is huge. That is what came with my Cepek kit....that turned into a 6" lift spring :)
