Ok, this may be an unusual question....I have a 2008 Yukon SLT. I need to know what the name and part number is for the part that the right rear brake caliper bracket attaches to with the two bolts. I have heard it called the rear knuckle, but I can not find any information on a part by that name, it may just be what people call it, but not GM official. Please help, I need this part, my truck is parked for a week now because of this.

Thanks in advance!

It is the rear knuckle. What's going on with it? Frozen caliper bolts? Stripped threads?

Upper caliper bolt backed out, caliper spun, punched a hole in the inside of the wheel, and bent the knuckle when it twisted and yanked the second bolt that was nice and tight. When I search for a rear knuckle, nothing comes up at all for a Yukon or Tahoe, nothing comes up on GM Parts sites, nothing in the diagrams. Does it go by another name? Do you know a part number?
Thanks for the reply!

I'll have to pull up all data. Took a quick look under mine and it may be part of the entire axle assembly

I'm told that after removing the rotor, this part is held on with four bolts, definitely removable.

#36 is the caliper and #31 where it mounts to. then the whole assemble bolts to the axle

I've seen that part (31) before, but no diagram shows that the caliper bolts to it, so I haven't been sure. Thanks Sumo.
