I have had my 2011 Z71 Tahoe non autoride for over a year now and have very few complaints. I have added a 2.5" lift to the front and a 1.5" rear lift with shock extensions and an air lift 1000 kit. Other than the lift parts and a set of factory size BFG A/T it's all stock.
We travel from Indiana to the east coast several times a year and my only real complaint is that at speeds of 75-80 mph the rear end feels like its on marbles or ice. My passengers never really know or feel this but I can feel it. When the speed limits are 65 I usually go around 73 and do not notice this its only when the speed limits are 70 and i am going 75-80. It does not feel like body roll and its only when i'm going straight. It feels almost like the wind is pushing me around however I do not hear the wind. I have tried adding air pressure to the tires and air bags and never really felt a difference.
I know that since adding the rear lift the track bar is pulling the rear axle off center towards the passenger side by about 1" or less. To fix this I am going to purchase a adjustable track bar/panhard bar from spohn performance. I do not know if this is a factor in my issue or not but it can't hurt.
My question is has anyone else experienced something similar? I have been thinking about getting a aftermarket rear sway bar also to see if that helps. What else could/should I try?
