Just like to say I am new to this forum. I have a 2002 Tahoe with a factory sub non Bose system in it. My problem is that the rear sub and D pillar tweeters are not working at all which makes me think there is something in combination with them. I looked at the harness that goes from the amp to the back thinking the previous owner unhooked them because they had a system in it at one point and time, but I did not find anything. All of the door speakers work so its not the rear passenger controls that turned off all of the rear speakers. I would appreciate any help. Thanks and there is a lot of cool threads on this forum....cant wait to try some stuff!

Do the rear audio controls on the back of your center console work? Check that plug, under the cupholder.

yes they work. i thought that was the problem at first because i had unhooked it when i pulled the center console to do some deep cleaning but when i hooked it back up and checked the controls all of that worked fine.

Everything you want to know is in this fantastic write-up. I have used this reference in my 2001 Tahoe with great success. To answer your question, the factory sub and tweets in the rear pillars ARE on the same mono channel from your factory matsushita amp. This document explains just how quite nicely. :grd: http://www.savagehomeautomation.com...ctory_High_Pass_Crossover_Bypass_Tahoe_02.pdf

hey thanks for that info. how ever i dont think it answered my question except the amp might be junk. oh well. i plan on replacing it all anyways. just wanted to get it all working to have it until i got the rest installed.

I know it's been a while, but I'm having the exact same problem as you. Did you ever figure out what was wrong?

dsquared, did you get your problem resolved? I bought a 2002 Yukon XL and the back remote radio control has a broken seek button. So i removed the middle console to get to it and see if I could repair and or get a part number off of it. I had noticed when it was not connected the sound to the rear speakers was null, so i connected the rear control back in and the speakers had sound again. It might be in the rear control or your your amp has issues. Oh by the way those rear radio controllers are not cheap to purchase. I have been looking on ebay and there going from $180 to $250.:(

Nope haven't gotten anything figured out. I'm just going to redo the entire system(New head unit, door speakers, sub+amp) and obviously run new wire for the sub and amp. But I will say that i suspect the rear channels of the stock amp are shot. That's my best guess anyway

i am having the same problem where my rear sub and tweeters will not work. I'm sure the wires have been cut by a previous owner. I was wondering if someone had a diagram or picture of where those wires are run through the truck so I can attempt to trace them down and repair them.
