Rear glass discoloration

Just picked up the rear lift gate glass for cheap. Hated the 06 glass so I swapped out for an 01. Didnt notice til the next day that the glass is badly discolored. The only spot it is not, is where the wiper cleans off the glass. Was wondering if anybody else had this issue, and if there was a fix. Was thinking about polishing the rear glass to see if that works.

What do you mean by discolored? How so?

I know its hard to tell cu of the reflection of the sky. But its the best I could get.
