Okay so my truck smelled like mildew and i assumed it was the bad crack in the window dripping rain in. After inspecting the truck i noticed the carpet in the back was wet so i looked at the rear hatch and tailgate they seem spongy and the hatch sticks out father than its supposed too. I'm wondering what i can do to resolve this issue. Any help would be appreciated.

Adjust the latch/lock to make sure the hatch is closing and sealing properly.
Replace the weather stripping around the hatch.

I just noticed the same thing in my Tahoe. It looks like it is leaking around the barn doors, and one of the rear side windows in the cargo area. Those windows, from what I can tell, come with the seals. Has anyone had to replace or repair the seals on those windows?

Over time the seals will dry rot and get brittile and will have to be replaced. That was my issue mine got really stiff and it held the back hatch about a qaurter of an inch off from where it needs to be. Which allowed water to get in

the windows on the side and the rear are glued in. it is very unlikely that they are your problem. if they are they will have to be removed by someone that knows what they are doing and redone. more than likely your problem is the rear gaskets around the back glass

I need to do a full on test with a hose to verify. It looked like dried dusty water on the rear side window. I know my rear barn door seals are needing replacing, so I plan on doing those soon.

i would prob drop down the rear pillar covers so you can pull the headliner down and watch it while some one runs a hose on it
