Hi, all. I have what I've determined to be a coolant leak in the right rear of my truck. Looks like heater core location. Does this generation have the rear heater core like the older ones? Accessed thru the rear panel?

My truck seems to indicate 'yes' but the Googles don't show any info or parts for sale for this generation.

Anyone have any experience with this?

Also, dont these trucks run Dexcool and isn't Dexcool orange?

Thanks

Are you out of warranty already. If not I think I would be taking it to the Dealer. Not sure about the rear heater core. Maybe you could call the Dealer and ask if no one responds.

yes you have a rear heater core, it could just be a connector loose, you would need to pull off the left rear panel/cover inside the truck to verify where the leak is coming from, you have to start by pulling off the wide panels that you see when you open the rear hatch top & bottom, then you can access the rest of the panel on the right, they just pull off, the right side panel may have a couple bolts, use a plastic pry tool so you don't make scratches on the plastic covers. you can also get farther under your truck and use a flashlight and look up where the lines go up into the truck and see what's happening

If it's orange dexcool in your cooling system, that green might be rear ac leak with green uv dye.

I had the exact issue in my 16' Tahoe. I took off the rubber sleeve like in the OP's picture and found a little hole right in the middle of the bend in the picture. I'm not sure if JB Weld will react bad to the refrigerant but I figured I would give it a shot as the rubber sleeve caused corrosion just in that one spot at the bend. If it fails/doesn't work i'll have to take it in and pay my deductible on the extended warranty. Also to clarify it is part of the AC system, I figured it out by putting the AC on full cold and feeling the line's where the leak was. This also is how I found the hole after removing the sleeve.
