Y'all,

Yesterday when giving some friends a ride, we discovered the right rear seat belt receiver doesn't latch at all (even partially). I have to admit I didn't try it when checking out the Tahoe when buying it back in December. There's no obvious debris or damage.

Can these be disassembled and diagnosed, or is this a "buy a new one" situation?

Thanks,
Scrappy

It's almost always just a sticky mechanism, try spraying some wd40 in it and work the tongue in and out a bunch of times.

That's what she said!

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll try that soon!
If that does not work then you will need to find a replacement receiver, they are not servicable in general, there are places that rebuild them but it's not cheap and you can grab a used one for cheap off ebay or junkyard.
