rear speakers acting up

so my rear speakers will just randomly decide to come and off any ideas whats going on with them? 2dr 96 yukon gt

both sides? if so, sounds like HU, not speakers.

I have a 96 yukon gt with the same problem, but only on the driver side rear. i figure it's a loose connection. I just haven't gotten to it yet.

turns out the seal for the hatch was leaking and the wire conections rusted and eventually broke

Yep thatl do it. Might be the speaker is blown bro if so then just swap both and drop in some kickers n itl be better than oem. Thats what i got and i love them so. How did it leak did you have a hole in the seal or just old ass blown seals?
