I was going down the road and hit a bump in my 99 Denali and I swear I heard something fall off like a couple bolts or something. Ever since I heard that noise my rear end has felt broken. The back end doesn't absorb bumps at all really anymore and I have new shocks. I hear a clunk every time I hit a bump and the back axle feels almost as if it is loose. Changing lanes on the highway it feels like the back end is pulling the opposite way of the front. It also seems to be leaning more in the corners. I checked the U bolts and they seem to be intact. Shocks are less than 2000 mile old Bilstein HD's. Can someone help me out on this one?

Check for broken springs within the spring packs, you might be surprised at what you find.

I'll check the springs once it stops raining. I just towed my 21 foot boat and the trailer about a week ago and that is a little over 4000 lb. It's a double axel trailer so there's not a lot of weight on the rear suspension. Could this have caused the springs to break?

Could this be the cause of the noise, there's a bushing that came apart and fell out.

I'm gonna go get one of those spacers from the dealer tomorrow. I've been having this loose feeling in the rear axel, and i've noticed the rear has more body roll than it used to. Is there something else I should check beside this spacer?
