That is one hell of a complicated procedure just to fix this issue, which as far as I can tell doesn't damage anything.

VERY complicated, or at least long. Alldata has pictures to go along with it as well that probably help a bit. Maybe I will try it this summer, but I want to get my rear wiper working first.

to simplify:

don;t use the ground from the harness.

cut ground wire on rear washer pump.
attach a new ground wire to the pump.

connect new ground wire to battery ground.

Oh, c'mon Eagle...I was gonna take mine to the local dealer armed with the bulletin to see if I could get them to fix it for me for free since it appears to be a manufacturing issue.

Your way would take all the fun out of it.

That's what evil American corporations want you to believe... I'm going with Ooo-khan. :D

lol

No, that's how we say the name of the river, which flows through my home state, and how the Canadians pronounce the territory named after said river......it's a Gwich'in word which means "Great River."

Similarly, Denali means "Great One," so a Yukon Denali means "Great River Great One."

;)

Oh, and for those of you suggesting I shave the wiper, that may work great where you live if it never rains, snows, or gets generally wet or dirty on the road. However, the aerodynamics of these vehicles sucks water to the back window, so I kind of like having it functional. I'm sure it looks better, though.
