rear wiper clicking

has anybody have/had a problem with there wear wiper just clinking and wont move? i searched google and seems like its not the motor or switch. im tryin to get some ideas on how to fix this. i

I'm having a problem with my rear wiper as well. It's very intermittent, but sometime it'll wipe - no problem - when I hit the switch. Other times, it does nothing. When it does nothing, the rear wiper solvent pump still works though. I'm not sure if it's a bad motor, bad rear door switch, bad ground, etc.

Just this last time, I hit the switch and wiped 1/2 way and got stuck. Then it was making this clicking/knocking sound, even after I turned off the car and locked the doors. Very strange.

Was hoping someone has seen this before. It's pretty cold outside to be troubleshooting intermittent problems!

ive had the same problem on my 04 yukon/denali. When i purchased it, the rear wiper motor wasnt working at all, so bought a reman and installed. it worked right away. Then almost a year later it just started working intermittenly and then stopped altogether. I did notice a slight clicking noise coming from it. Took it back under warranty and got a new motor, put it in, and nothing. I was like wtf? Did some research online and it looks like sometimes its a bad ground, tryed that and made no differnce, so gave up on it for the night. The next morning left for work and it started working and hasnt stopped since. So i have no idea whats going. But if someone figures it out let me know for next time. Thanks.
