I have worked at a few shops in the past and have changed quite a few rearend fluids. I was wondering if anyone else puts a limited diff fliud additive when you change the fluid. I always was told too but no one has talked about it on this forum when I did the search. Do you not have to use the additive when you use full synthetic fluid like PR or mobil 1?

When I changed the fluid in mine I used mobli 1, and says no other additive needed. Looked like mud when I changed it too.

How will it cause problems? On the amsoil site it said do not use an additive unless you hear or feel the lsd. I did not use an additive in a 1995 mustang once and it made all kids of noise untill I put the additive in.

If i were using the oem stuff, i think you need the additive. But the mobil 1 and rp has it already. It even says it on the bottle of mobil 1. Specifically for ls diffs.

Thanks, I know I can buy a bottle of mobil 1 locally. I will go that route.
