Rearview mirror said ICE...

Tonight, I got in my truck, and the mirror said 17 degrees, then switched and said ICE. flipped back and forth about every 10 seconds for a few times, ICE, 17, ICE 17, then stayed on 17 degrees...
ICE?
I never saw that before or heard of it?
What was that?

Its standard... Just a warning to be on the lookout for ice when driving. You'll see it when the temp is below 37 or so.

Nope, never noticed it, but I have only owned my Denali since May 2017... first cold spell.

Yeah it’s a standard feature on the mirror. I get it all the time living in the mountains in a ski town during the winter months.

My 01 Tahoe also says “ICE” on the rearview mirror in the morning when it’s cold.
