I tried a google and forum search on this but haven't found a solution.
On my 03 Tahoe, I have 2 remotes--one programmed as Driver 1 and the other Driver 2.
When the Driver 1 remote is used to unlock the vehicle, the driver seat does not move to the memory position. But the DIC shows Driver 1 when I start the vehicle, and the climate settings are retained. Also when had the OEM radio, the saved stations were retained as well. (I have to test if the power mirrors adjusts to memory. I believe it does but I am not certain at the moment.) I have to press the Driver 1 button on the door after I unlock the truck with the Driver 1 remote after my wife drives the truck (she has the Driver 2 remote) so the seat moves back for me.
When the Driver 2 remote is used to unlock the vehicle, both the power mirrors and driver seat adjusts to memory correctly.
Many years ago I got a new remote from the dealer and it was initially showing as Driver 3 in the DIC so I took it back to them and they reprogrammed it correctly as Driver 1 and Driver 2. In my Googling, I came across this site with the steps to program the remotes http://www.programyourremote.com/classified/2003-chevrolet-tahoe-listing-5259.aspx#.WEBRBfkrLmE
But since the DIC shows Driver 1 and Driver 2 correctly and the Driver 2 remote is working fine, I am not sure if I should try to reprogram it.
Currently the remote I am using is the aftermarket remote from my Viper remote start (DBALL bypass module). I still have the OEM remotes as well but do not use them anymore.
Any ideas?
Thanks
