Pulled #5 it was clean but a hair over .060 where’s 1,3,7 were all .040
Also have a tick on passenger side, #2 wire was the culprit.had a bit of play in the wire but stuck to plug. Removed and reseated, no more tick.
Tapped #5 down to .040, moved it to 1and took a nice drive. Babied up to 85 and did some 80% throttle runs 60-80 and some aggressive stop/start on country roads.

It felt kind of surge-y before, 99% gone and LOADS nicer on the ears now.

It’s started raining, supposed to last a week and no room in the garage so I will continue to monitor.

Surge was likely the plug wire and a little from the plug gap problem.
I’m gonna pull the other bank and double check the wires and gaps next week. It’s better but not perfect, occasional misfires at idle when hot. Barely detectable in the seat but the scanner showed 6 over a couple minutes. I’ve got the conventional R44LTS6 plugs on stand by.

Glad it's getting better! I'm getting an odd idle miss on my old girl too. The suggestions here are priceless!
Wanted you to know- I got some 41-993 AC Delcos on ebay for $22.00. Discount down the road wanted $48.00.

Gap was .060, boxes say made in usa, shipped from china takes 2 weeks. I've run these in a few friends trucks and they seem OEM. Maybe 20k miles on each so far.

I bought the OEM replacement double platinums not too long ago. I was so used to receiving plugs gapped correctly I didn't check them when I put them in. Can't remember my symptoms but truck was not running right. I pulled them out to check and found they were around .40. I gapped them correctly and it made the difference. Hope you get yours fixed.
