"Reduced engine power" when you start truck and IMMEDATELY put it in gear...?

SOMETIMES, when i am in a hurry, key in, start truck, and put it in gear almost all at the same time, my truck will throw the CEL and go in Reduced power mode.

If i delete the CEL with my scanner, the truck will drive FINE for months after that. The code was something about the throttle body I believe. But it only seems to happen when I start truck and place it in gear all almost simultaneously

slow down and smell the roses.

Let truck start for a second, get the computer to read everything before you slam into gear.
