So I've swapped everything over from my 98 Hoe to my 98 Yuk except for the system. My main question is, and I know it will sound strange/weird/unusual, but is it ok to use a length of jumper cable (just one wire) to power my amp? Reason is I want to run it under the truck from the engine compartment to right where the amp will be mounted (under drivers side back seat). I figure it would be better for exterior use since it has a stronger/thicker outer sheath than the power cable I already have which is made to be inside the vehicle. The copper strands are not as fine than the other. Any thoughts?

Well I already put it in but it will be temporary, the old power cable I had was just a tad too short because I had ran on the inside, I'll get one next week, I'm not driving it now so there's no worries about messing it up, just needed to get it going so I could get the speakers set up
