Hey Everyone,

Sorry if the title is confusing. Is there a relay or device that once there is 4 seconds of power applied to it opens a circuit (4 sec just an example). I am looking to hook it up to my power door locks so when i hit the door unlock quickly it does not trigger the relay or device but when i hold it down for like 4 seconds it triggers the relay or device. I looked into timed relays, but that looks like it just delays the time of when the relay is trigger when power is supplied. Hope this makes sense.

Thanks in advance

Would guess you're getting into needing an interface vs. a simple relay.

Actually I think i just figured it out. I can use a delay relay and adjust the timing to 5 secs and as soon as the relay has power for 5 secs it triggers the device and as soon as i release the unlock button power to the relay shuts off.
