Does the problem ONLY happen during Remote Starting?? There should not be much different when Remote Starting vs normal starting. Other than the primary fuel pump in the fuel tank will prime when the vehicle is unlocked. So there is some delay from the time the primary fuel pump primes until you enter the vehicle, step on the brake and start the engine.

Not sure of the timing of the fuel pump prime to engine starting using the Remote feature.

If you do not have your own OBDII App and interface, spend around $35-$40 and get your own so you can pull codes along with Freeze Frame data as this may offer more insight to what is going on.

Agree if you have an oiled air filter, MAF could use cleaning. Often people over oil the reusable filters and this can cause problems sometimes. Battery health is another issue. Sometimes a flaky battery is happier getting "woken up" by unlocking the vehicle, before starting, where with Remote Start you hit the battery with the start load almost immediately.

I would also recommend not using the Remote Start to run the engine for more than 20-60 seconds anyway due to fuel dilution problems within the engine oil. It takes FAR longer for the engine to warm up at idle vs driving the vehicle.

So circling back on this CEL, as it would come on/off from time to time. Dropped it off and they replaced that MAF....3 days later the CEL returned. Now they are saying that it is due to my Intake even though it was installed on 02.18.2013 (https://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/threads/s-b-intake.131738/post-1756935) #DataNeverLies.

So now I have to put the stock box back on to "play the game" to get the CEL to return. As per GMC, they are not to do anything until the stock box is back on. #AssClowns.

Exact same error in post #1 for reference. Air intake and Transmission. How in the hell can an intake cause transmission issues?

You modified your engine and now you’re upset that GM will not provide warranty repair?

Do you expect them to provide warranty diagnosis and repairs if you use aftermarket items on the engine, such as an intake?

I do, as long as it is not directly related/caused by my added on after market parts.

Remote start doesnt work with a CEL condition. I use remote start as I'm walking towards my car...not to warm it up per say since in Fl. And I still let the idle normalize before it even moves.

Trying to understand if the CEL popped up due to a Remote Start issue or for some other reason?

Do you have an OBDII scan tool?

If so, obtain the Freeze Frame data as this will give you more details about under what conditions the CEL was triggered. Often you will even see a Pending code which will not trigger the CEL until a 2nd instance of the same code occurs within a specified time frame.

Understand remote start as you walk to vehicle to allow the engine idle to drop rather than sitting in the drivers seat. I do this often as well, engine runs for typicially less than 1 minute before driving off.
